I didn’t get to know Jhaysonn healthy because we met after he was already sick. I used to visit with him on my lunch break from work and it became known as two hour Tuesdays. We would talk about life: the good, bad and ugly. He would always want to hear about my family and how each of them was doing. We watched cartoon movies and played board games on Saturdays with my son Sam. He got me to watch zombie movies and listen to heavy metal and he even got me to try a smoothie with beets in it. It was pretty tasty.:) We would talk about pain and hardships and sometimes we’d just shoot the breeze and laugh. Other days we’d try to solve world problems. Sometimes I’d talk his ear off while he took his many pills. There were hard days too because he went through hard things. I went to MRIs and dr appointments with him where I witnessed Jhaysonn’s strength and perseverance even more. He was and still is the strongest person I know. I am a better person for knowing him. Jhaysonn Pathak is a legacy and I’ll never forget him. |

I thought I would make this first entry by sharing with you a time that Jhaysonn had a band called Solace. You might think that this title elicits thoughts of peace and quiet. Quite the opposite. Jhaysonn, Shawn, Ryan, Kyle and Reshard literally rocked the entire house. The neighbors used to sit in their yards listening and watching these guys literally raise the roof. It was so much fun to play a little part setting up for them and then see the creativity drip off these guys. A wonderful time making sure the pictures stayed on the walls. Once of my favorite memories was when they played at a place called Pirates Cove (I think) and over 100 kids came out from Douglas Anderson and their friends. They had everyone hopping up and down for over two hours even after the AC went out. Marvelous! Once of the many memories that makes me smile. :innocent: |
