Re: How can I become a CPA at this point?

A great place to find information on becoming a CPA is the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (www.aicpa.org).

Every state has their own rules regarding the licensing of CPAs. In Massachusetts, the site is www.mscpaonline.org. You probably want to check out that site as well.

Another route is to become an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. To get the EA designation, you need to pass a difficult test with the IRS, showing that you're knowledgable about taxes. It's a pretty comprehensive exam, but if you're looking to pursue a career in income taxes, it's a very good designation to have.

Good luck.

Thanks, Andrew! I hope your silence on the age thing is a positive indication that I'm not too old to start a new career in taxes. :) Thanks again.
