Provo Canyone Boys School 77-79

In 1977, I was 12 years old, I was admited to Provo Canyon Boys School for smoking marijuana. I was tricked into going there and immediately locked up into "orientation", which was a lock down unit. I was forced to stand off hours upon hours of "time out". Often I was picked up by my hair and thrown into a 3x5 room , called the "P" room for isolation. I would be left there for hours for punishment.
One day a new patient was admitted into PCB. He was known to have been addicted to PCP. His name was Rick Potter. I got into an argument with rick and he started punching my face uncontrollably. I passed out right away and fell to the ground and I was told by other boys that he kept punching my face. When I woke up I was in the "P" room alone.one of the other students brought me a mirro to show me my face. I could barely see out of my left eye and my right eye was completely swollen. I was horrified when I saw my face. It was black and blue and swollen like a pumpkin. My entire scull was swollen also.
I never saw a medical physician and was kept in the "P" room for 4 or 5 days. It was not until my swelling went down that I was let out of the room. I was led to belive that I had done something wrong.
It was not until recently that I started remembering this incident. I completely blocked it out.
I am very angry about it and don't know what to do. That was the most severe torture that I expeirienced while I was there. However my whole expeireince was abusive and neglectful.
I know that the time has passed for me to be able to do anything to these awful people but Is there something that we can do to change the time limit of when someone can press charges? In my case I just remembered this, why shouldn't I be able to press charges?I think it is deiscusting.

Mike, wow! You may not remember me but I remember you and that terrible night. We were in line for snacks. That guy was psycho. That event is THE most clearly defined memory of my entire nightmare at PCS. When I think back about how we joked about the "hairdance" I realize what a warped reality we were dealing with. I'm glad we have been able to move past that hell hole. Good luck and great living!
