More info on PCS

HI, MY son attended PCS in 2002, and his experience was horeffic. For a 13 year old boy, they had him in the isolation room the who time. He told me they used shackles on him. His stay there lasted for 5 weeks, where on my visit out to him ( which the tried to discourage, looking back), I saw a boy who greeted me with puffy red eyes like he didn't sleep at all. . He look like he had alot of fear in him. In the back ground I heard fighting. I will never foget the other boys lining up for their medication and the look in their eyes as I passed them. They were all SCARED. This is why I am writing. I belong to a large union out here in
Los angeles. In out benifits package, there are three schools that my insurace co. pays for. I have talked to my drug cordinator and all she said to me was Lesley, your going to find dirt on anything. I spoke to the benifits manager yesterday and she wants all info on Provo Canyon. If any of you can help me. I have been copying things on line here. I am familiar with the lawsuits , etc. I am not to familiar with the group that runs it now. I do now that the Director of Sunhawk, where my son was after Provo, is now the director at Provo as of 2004. ( if he is still there).If there is any other info you think Would be helpful please email me. My union covers three school. Provo Canyon, Sunhawk Academy, and the Aspen Wilderness Program.My son has been to all three. The wilderness, he lost about 15 lbs. in two weeks, He lasted to weeks.
Sunhawk, is just like a kiddy prison. Typical office building. I was brainwashed into thinking we absolutely have to do this. Also, the Los angeles Unified school District has Provo Canyon on their list of approved schools. Provo gets many kids from California. We have to petition to get it removed. They have no idea. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Lesley
