Cut potato or onion in half, which should be skewered in last (so that it's at the bottom, near the charcoal). This will ensure that your last piece of meat doesn't burn..

adding 9-10 briquetts on the burning lumpwood charcoal will give you intense heat for a very long time. Ideal for parties where you want to cook and entertain your guests for long. Briquetts will also serve as heat shields as your charcoal will not flame from the dripping fat from your meat.
