Below are the provisional results from this afternoon's IOM Cross Country Championships, held at a cold and windy (but thankfully dry) Pulrose Golf Course this afternoon. There were 116 competitors in total, up on the number for the Championship events for the past 2 seasons but a bit down on the numbers we saw the last time the Championships were at Pulrose in 2006. Grateful thanks go to the many people who worked very hard to put the event on today. Much of the work is done in the background and is unseen by many, but your efforts are very much appreciated by all especially on such a cold day!

Congratulations to all the champions and medal winners, and indeed to all competitors for turning out on a bitingly cold afternoon. Most of the races went pretty much to form, with the notable exception of the Under 13 Boys race, which was superbly won by Alex Price. That will teach me for not even tipping him to get on the podium! There were also some welcome newcomers in the Under 9 Girls including all 3 medalists.
