Thoughts? Is it a good idea? Will I have problems with the pipe running through the deck, even with a deck iron? Am not concerned about weight, just height. I have room to install shielding around the stove, but what worries me the most is the ceiling.
I'm asking because seems like most woodstove installs are on wooden or metal boats.
Deck Irons are used on fiberglass boat decks all the time. Just keep it filled with water as you run the stove. Please refer to the manual here: http://marinestove.com/manual.htm
