6 incredible remixes (GLENN RIVERA) of CHIC ORGANIZATION

Wonderful Remixes!!! Incredible Remixes!!! Simply CHIC Remixes!!!

1) CHIC - Everybody Dance (Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix Version) (8:19)
Chic is the Beethoven of disco music.
Productions such as "Dance, Dance, Dance", "Freak Out" and "Good Times" are pinnacle of the dance era and continue to create the overall emphasis of disco music.
"Everybody Dance" is from the 1977 LP "Chic" and has always been dynamite for the dance floor. Bass guitars and slick vocals keep this one moving from start to finish.
My ReStructure Mix works the track into a new arrangement and added accents to bring the wonder back to these talented musicians, as well as all of you fabulous dancers!

2) CHIC - Chic Cheer (Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix Version) (8:09)
Nile Rogers and Bernard Edwards were the innovators of Chic. And along with Alfa Anderson, David Lasley, Diva Gray, Luther Vandross, Norma Jean and Robin Clark the first LP in 1977 simply titled "Chic" became a disco staple overnight.
In 1978 "Le Freak" became the theme for disco dance floors all over the country. The second LP titled "C'est Chic" introduced once again a new sound, which became the outline for the crossover between sophisticated funk and disco music.
"Chic Cheer" became a track that was more like the Overture to a Chic concert - it had the guitars of Rogers and Edwards and the sassy vocals and arrangement that crossover classics are made of.
I have take "Chic Cheer" and created a more "dub"-founded mix with many more beats to bounce along with those funky guitars to.
This one is dedicated to my partner, Ken - who insisted that this track be included as a ReStructure. It is his kind of "funk"!

3) CHIC - Good Times (Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix Version) (9:04)
The bass line that lasted for a era and the group that made disco funky. This #1 disco hit is one of the best produced by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards with the arrangement that was "chic" during the time. A ReStructure revisits the track and place a new emphasis on just how lasting a great song always stays fresh.
Dedicated to Orlando Pontier for the request.

4) CHIC - My Forbidden Lover (Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix Version) (9:04)
From the band that made disco a funky yet elite sounding experience - CHIC!
"My Forbidden Lover" is a classic track from the 1979 LP "Risque'" which brought their follow-up to "Le Freak" - "Good Times". Bernard Edwards & Nile Rodgers are the masterminds who found themselves on top of the mirror ball after all of their hard work and talent.
My ReStructure Mix gives this track another chance to funky-fy your feet and move you into a "Chic" place! Go get it!

5) SHEILA & B. DEVOTION - Spacer (Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix Version) (9:11)
1980 brought them team of Bernard Edwards and Nile Rogers together with disco group, Sheila and B. Devotion. Their 1978 venture, "Singing In The Rain" was produced by Claude Carrere.
This new production was indeed a mixture of two varied dance formulas - a European style vocal team (complete with French accent) and a funky New York disco sound. "Spacer" was the single which broke out from the LP and became an instant hit. The bass and lead guitars work their way through this track like a tight knit macrame sweater.
I have taken the guitars, keyboards and wonderful bass into a new treatment for "Spacer" again using the ReStructure formula. This one is "spacier" than usual.

6) SISTER SLEDGE - Reach Your Peak (Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix Version) (10:08)
Sister Sledge became the most celebrated female groups of the disco era thanks to Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers. Their 1978 hit "We Are Family" and "He's The Greatest Dancer" they have become a permanent fixture on the disco wall of fame.
After several LPs with the Chic producer the gals took many detours with their music to keep the funky-disco sound of Edwards and Rodgers as a part of their ident

their identity.
In 1980 their project "Love Somebody Today" included a funky lo-bpm track titled, "Reach Your Peak" - the track received allot of radio play but did not fare as well in the clubs. It was always a favorite of mine and a ReStructure kept haunting me with the clever title chant - so here is a take on the laid back style of the Chic geniuses and the Sister Sledge.
