Human Meteorologist Forecast - Extended Discussion
VA / NC forecast issued 10/15/2008 at 6:00 PM by meteorologist Benjamin Miller
Moderate N to NE winds Friday. Strong NNW winds Saturday. Fading N to NNE winds Sunday.
With a frontal system sinking by on Friday morning and high pressure beginning to build in behind it, we should see some modest NNW winds turning NE on Friday. The winds look to really strengthen on Saturday as a low to the south and the high to the west draw winds across the region. By Sunday, the high looks to become elongated and almost slide overhead and the solid northerlies will gradually fade.

Friday:
Moderate NNW winds turning NE. Winds reaching the upper teens to near 20. However, clouds and rain showers may be a wind limiter, especially early in the day.

Saturday:
Strong N to NNW winds. Winds reaching the low to mid 20's across Tidewater and the mid to upper 20's across the OBX.

Sunday:
Moderate NNE winds in the upper teens to low 20's fading into the weak low teens across the OBX and in the mid to upper teens fading into the single digits across Tidewater.

Forecast above prepared by meteorologist Benjamin Miller.
