Welcome! This is mainly a "local" forum for American Civil War cavalry reenactors in the Pacific Northwest. It will have dates of events and trainings as well as any items of interest.
The same can be said of bugle signals as well Walt, and even moreso. In cavalry operations however, unless acting singly as a scout, the cavalryman is part of a force of cavalry, exactly like an infantryman, only mounted. He is not able to act on his own, he is under the command of his officers. This would be, in my opinion a serious detriment to passing on information from signal corps. However, officers SHOULD know both bugle calls for all troups as well as signals.
Yes, I know Kevin very well, he is an excellent reenactor and does many impressions very well.
Thanks for using our forum and for the good reference page.
