Re: Training - December

We are trying to get started (and finished) a bit earlier if possible--ideally, be warmed up and ready to ride at 10:30.

Thanks,
Ken Morris

Re: Re: Training - December

Well, the training went great. We had 10 riders there: 8 Cav and 2 guests from my stable. Plus a couple of guests who watched and helped with the ground crew. We worked on jumping a grid of 4 small jumps to improve balance and with the small jumps to provide momentum, some people ended up cantering as well. Everyone went through the grid and none of the Cav folks fell off! I expect at the next drill we will be doing more canter work. In the afternoon we did a review of drill outdoors for the benefit of our new recruits and then I had one of the privates call drill. I plan on switching off calling drill because it's a good way to learn, or test how well you have learned somthing.
