2nd Notice: Living History Presentation, May 21, Ash Creek Intermediate School, Monmouth

Subject: Living History Presentation, May 21, Ash Creek Intermediate School, Monmouth

Ladies and Gentlemen:

We have been invited back to the Ash Creek Intermediate School (ACIS) in Monmouth for a presentation this year. It will be held Friday, May 21. Please consider joining in and encourage members of your unit to participate. Kindly forward this notice to your units. Interested parties should reply to me at rceiv@verizon.net or at 503-645-4979 or to our host, Dale Claussen at claussed@comcast.net.

We hope to assemble members from all military branches, both Union and Confederate, as well as civilian. Of particular interest is artillery and musicians. The music teacher would like to coordinate the lesson for the day with our musicians if anyone can make it.

We have six confirmed and another three tentative. Confederate cavalry is well represented followed by two Confederate infantry and one civilian. We really need Union cavalry and infantry as well as medical, artillery and musicians. The artillery is especially wanted. Please consider joining this. The hosts are very enthusiastic and we have good ground to work on at the school. This event will get us in front of nearly 400 kids in one day. It is fun and very worthwhile. Please block off May 21st. More details to follow.

Your obedient servant,

Pvt. Rick East
