Another good new book out is "War Horse" by Phil Livingston and Ed Roberts. This book is mainly about the remount organization and the breeds used but covers war horses in America from the earliest times. The book is available at Bright Sky Press

Ken Knopp has a new book out called "Made in the CSA" Saddle makers of the Confederacy. It's a companion piece to his previous book, "Confederate Saddles and Horse Equipment".
