October 25th Drill

Drill will commmence on Saturday October 25th at 10 AM with DISCUSSION. Yep, you read it right. It's time to stop the incorrect stuff and work on what's needed. So, we will de-mistify the drill from the drill book, piecemeal, and we will meet at Camp Lacomb.

I have plans to go over cleaning a weapon the RIGHT way, making rounds, loading pistols, and safety concerns. Bring your weapons, your powder and caps and your cleaning kits.

There will be no horses this day. You don't have to wear your uniforms. Just show up, bring a lunch and expect to get a lot accomplished between 10 AM and 4 PM.

I will be sending out email concerning this same subject.

I hope to see everyone on Saturday.

Sincerely,
Capt. Ahearn

Re: October 25th Drill

Captain,

I will be there. I am not sure if I can stay until 1600 however as I work Friday night and Saturday night. I am going to leave here at about 0900 Saturday and probably heading back home around 1300 to 1400. Unfortunately, I was unable to get this day off as one of the other officers is on Vacation.
I have put in for the Drill next month so I should get that time off. Also, would you like me to bring the Drill Book I have been compiling? It is not yet complete (I still haven't gotten the one section printed yet)but it covers almost everything else.

I will see you Saturday,

Cpl. Sturman

Re: Re: October 25th Drill

Sounds like a good idea, Capt. This would be the first time I've gone to a drill without the idea of riding but I'm willing to give it a try!
