WARSOP MAIN CHECKS.

Warsop Main checks seem to be fairly common and cheap checks.
How come this check--- 200383970565 is for sale for £24.99 ????????????????????????????????????????/

What has this one got that the others Haven't got??????????

Also check 200384009792 Dartmouth Colliery Churwell.I believe these checks are fakes.Does anyone have any ideas?????????????????????????????

Re: WARSOP MAIN CHECKS.

The Warsop is, like you say, very common - This seller normally knows her onions so all I can guess is that she has mis-entered the starting price????

The Dartmouth Churwell check is a well known fantasy check struck from well made dies about 20 year ago. I understand that there were checks issued by this pit but they are a lot smaller than this type which is a totally made-up version (i.e. it doesn't try and report to be a known check design).

Re: WARSOP MAIN CHECKS.

YES, IT IS A FANTASY CHECK IS THE DARTMOUTH COLLIERY CHURWELL, THE ONE ON EBAY, IV GOT A GENUINE PRE 47 DARTMOUTH COLLIERY IN MY COLLECTION. AS YOU SAY, ITS A SMALLER CHECK.

Re: WARSOP MAIN CHECKS.

Regarding stamped checks ----item--280399856673 is a number of checks where many are stamped with just initials of collieries.Did these collieries have check like these??.I do not know but I'm sure some of you hardy collectors out there will probably know.
The seller is a very reputable ebayer so I assume they are genuine.
