Mosley Common and Sandhole

Hi all
My great grandfather worked for Mosley Common and Sandhole collieries
Up to there closure.
I was wondering does anyone have any Brass pit checks for these mines or know were I can get them from.
Thanks carol lindley

Re: Mosley Common and Sandhole

Hello Carol .The checks you are looking for are very rare indeed I have only ever seen a Alloy check for Mosley Common Colliery .Die hard collectors are lucky if they have any for the Sandhole or Mosley Common Pits. Be very aware of any one offering you one ,and if possible insist on a photo first and show it on here for advise. There are plenty of decent check collectors use this website who I hope would put you straight .BEWARE there are people out there who will offer you a fake check, one they will knock up in their shed and rip you off .If anybody offers you one from the Telford area do not touch it ,It will be almost certainly be a forged one.Sergai SIMPLES
