Home Office Remodel

We moved into a new home in 2015. In 2016 we remodeled (added cabinets, painted, added light fixtures and all the necessary electrical work). Both me and my wife are W2 employees: I use the office full time, working remotely while my wife uses the office as needed (but regularly) for work purposes.

1) Is this deductible?
2) We also did work to the kitchen where I prepare and eat lunch every day (often while working). Would any of this be deductible?

Looking forward to some clarity!
