department of taxation 1099 form

i recieved a 1099 form from the department of taxation with a refund/ over payment value of 252.
does this info get reported to 1099 g form or 1099 int?

Here's the deal. If you itemize your deductions, you include your state income taxes as an itemized deduction. Then, if you get a state refund, the amount of your refund is taxable to you the following year. Each state is required to send out a 1099-G to anyone who got a state tax refund for more than $10.

Please keep in mind that if you didn't itemize your deductions last year, your state tax deduction should not be reported on your federal tax return - even if you receive a 1099-G.
