Re: Write off on sale of Tax property

Hi Will. Most likely, yes, you will be able to deduct the loss. But depending on the nature of the property and how long you held it for, you may not be able to utilize the loss all in one year. Can you give more specific information? I'm assuming this is not your primary residence? Was it a piece of land? Was it depreciable property?
