Re: Deductible trip


Since travel expenses are only deductible if the trip is primarily for business, the cost of your flight in this instance probably isn't deductible.



If you spent one full days with your colleague, you could probably argue that the hotel, car rental and food for that day is deductible.

I recently went on vacation, but spent an entire day visiting a colleague's office, learning a lot about record keeping and practice management.



How much of my travel expenses can I deduct? Total mileage round trip? One or two nights hotel surrounding the office visit? My vacation was for five days total, but I'd like to deduct some of it if I can.
