Re: New CPA local vs long distance

While it is nice to have a local CPA, with today's technology, CPAs no longer need to be at the client's location, unless the client wants him/her to be. Phone, fax, email, instant messenger, overnight mail, etc. are all used by CPAs daily in today's world. I am located in the NY metro area and I have clients in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, California, Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota, etc. and there has never been any problems with the distance. As long as the CPA is available for the client as the client needs him to be, there is nothing wrong with having an out of town CPA.
