Parking fees at work

I pay about $27 a month to park at my work and it is deducted from my paycheck automatically. Can I claim that on my taxes? Would it be a Misc deduction?
thank you

Re: Parking fees at work

Parking at your principal place of business is generally non-deductible, as it's considered part of your commuting expenses.

Your employer might allow you to pay the $27 per month with pre-tax dollars, however. Contact your employer's benefit department to find out how you can pay for your parking with pre-tax dollars if you're not already doing so.
