She was nine years old,an expert at the science of sex


Angry,sad,and confused,child and adult


caused by pain and fear of what comes next


She said"I would shoot myself if I had a GUN"


I want them in jail"


the exam came next I can still hear her cry and wail


"It hurts! No dont!"


I felt her pain.I remembered the same feelings


of shame and doubt .


This is not what life is supposed to be about


for a child of nine.


She could have been mine.


Tears of rage well up in me


I wonder what her future will be?


It wont be easy,her trust is gone, her joy of life ended before its begun.It makes no sense this horrendous offense


will haunt her all her life.


I wanted to hug her ,tell her its okay,but its NOT okay to have lived that way and nothing will ever take it away.
