As many know, the day-to-day work at
AIS is completed by a small staff of 7
female employees. Because of our small
numbers, AIS relies heavily on volunteers
during large events and functions.
When these volunteers happen to be
young men who can lift heavy things and
work long hours, the all-female staff at
the AIS office celebrates.
Provo Canyon School, a center full of
such young men, has been making AIS
cheer since they came to the rescue several
years ago. Since that time, they have
been a mainstay at all big fundraisers and
occasions. Simply put, they are the manpower.
Provo Canyon School is an alternative
school with one of the nation’s largest and
most experienced treatment facilities for
youth. Their treatment environment is
founded upon core beliefs and values, and
traits of excellence that staff and youth
learn and practice. Provo Canyon School
is a nationally-recognized and fully accredited
secondary school and an industry
-respected recreational therapy program
to augment clinical and academic care.
We have found the teens from this school
to be most polite, most helpful and outstanding
youth in all aspects.

AIS for the last 4 years, mainly with the
annual Christmas Wrap, Celebrity Banquet
and Shootout. The young men are
there at the crack of dawn unloading,
moving, lifting and loading again until
the day is over. They are positive and
pro-active and have been completely
invaluable for their service. Recently,
the school has “adopted” American Indian
Services. They will dedicate a full week of
their academic year to fundraise specifically
for AIS. All are invited to their
Fundraising Day on August 30 at 1350
East 750 North in Orem. We are excited
and grateful for the two-fold partnership
we have with Provo Canyon School. We
look forward to continued great things in
the future from these hardworking, supportive
(and very strong) young men.

its so funny to hear it from your perspective but it does remind me of the 56 hour workweeks i had to endure to be "advanced achievement" or higher, once senior-on bruce took over the night shift,,of course the kids are polite,, you said you have 7 females? these are locked up boys going through puberty,, they dont undrstand women at all there not really aloud real contact, so im sure when they are there they are greate, you have no clue how much punnishment they'll recieve for misbehaving ,or what they actually go through day to day all you see is brainwashing at its best in affect, its obvious you have been in utah too long
