Actual Stories of the 9th and portraits

Hey whats up yall again. I would like to thank the administrator for responding so quickly. Im so pleased that the 9th Virginia has finally gotten some recognition for having a impecable record in the ANV. I have some more information for all of you buffs out there that includes combat action reports from the gettysburg campaigns and hanover raid operations. One includes a ride through hanover at a full gallop to avoid being captured by union picketts after being seperated from his men. I was wondering if the administrator or any of the members were interested in including some photos of John. N Peed and some digital scans of letters that are not on the notre dame website on the 9th virginia cavalry webpage. This would mean alot to my family and my ancestors honor that his service is finally recognized.

sincerely, patrick

ps.--if any of yall history guys out there were wondering about the colors of the 9th, according to John N. Peed, the colors were torn to pieces with soldiers keeping bits and pieces of the flag mid in 1865. He recalled Lt. Christians a member of beales staff openly weeping into his hands as the colors were unfurled and cut into pieces

Re: Actual Stories of the 9th and portraits

Yes I would like to add any and all information of historical significance to the 9th's website. Of course I STILL have the problem and am unable to revise anything at this point. It will be a lengthy process of several days to copy and keep the files and pictures on my computer then reload them to the page without losing information. If you would send me the information on my email account I would appreciate it!

Sincerely,
Linneus Ahearn
