Powerbook 100 and 6.0.8L

Hello all
I've got one of these small fellas on the way wth 7.1 installed. If I make floppies of the 6.0.8L files on my PB1400 will they work with the PB 100 FDD?
If not, how can I do it without access to a decent classic mac with a working FDD?

Regards
Andy

Re: Powerbook 100 and 6.0.8L

Why don't you try it? Do you have a Classic? If so, it would probably work better with a PB 100 FDD, I used to have one of those. But I'm not quite shure what I'm talking about, but I would just try.

Good Luck!

Re: Powerbook 100 and 6.0.8L

Both of those floppy drives support 1.4MB floppies, so that won't be a problem. The only minor issue is that of "blessing" the system folder you create so that it will be bootable (if that is what you want; you already have an OS installed, so this may not be a problem for you). Other than that tiny detail, you're good to go.

Tom

Guide me through that one. It's got OS 7 installed... I've made the 6.0.8L floppies... put the system disk in and?
I remember blessing a system folder years ago but I think that was on a partitioned disk. The stuff on the web is not particularly lucid.
