Weird message on SE!
Ok, I had a Macintosh SE, I got it from a thrift store, well, I loved the little machine, and really enjoyed the collectors item. But one time I booted it up, everything was working fine until I got a weird message after three extensions loaded, it read "Applications may be busy, or damaged Finder". I knew I needed to install system software, but I couldn't because I had no disks. But I think it was when I switched it to SimpleFinder when that happened. No one else has been able to tell me this rare message, so I'm hoping you guys can!javascript:%20void(0); Thanks!!!! |

It's 'cause you already figured out how to fix it. Reinstall the OS. Or, if you have a disk/file utility, try it/them first. Maybe you'll get lucky. |

I told you, I don't have any disk utilities for it, (I only have it for the Classic, which got jammed in the machine with another disk when I got it, and had to remove them both with A screwdriver, (someone must of thought that the hard drive was another disk drive!) Anyway, thanks, but I don't know where that strange message is!! It just happened one night after swithcing it to Simple Finder, (which could NOT be it!) Anyway, thanks again

We all assume that you want help because you asked for it. Twice. You got a good answer. If you don't intend to follow any advice, then don't ask for it. :) Don't have disk utilities for it? Get some. Apple still has free downloads of OS up to 7.5.5. Disk First Aid is not a very powerful utility, but it's free. |
