Dear Geri,
How wonderful to hear from you again!! I don't check in here often anymore because there are so few posts. Denice and I meet online every week, and for now it is just the two of us. We'd love to have you join us sometime if you are interested. I hope things are going well with you. I too have those moments of thinking about old wounds and feeling sad. I visited my mother's grave for the first time last August (she passed away in May). I understand that mix of feelings and the yearning for what might have been. It's good to take a moment at times like that to remind yourself how far you have come. We cannot change our parents or our past, but we have worked hard to make healthier lives for ourselves. That is no small accomplishment given the model our parents set for us.
I will keep you in my thoughts. Let me know if you would like to meet online with us. Thanks for sharing your feelings here. What a delight it was to see your name posted!!
Love,
Debbie |
