Ratings...again!!

Think I said my bit in the pub...but want to reiterate my point about ratings. This week I feel a little hard done by.

Everyone who started the game got 8 because we kept a clean sheet and scored one goal in the 1st half...this without consideration of how each player actually played.

In the 2nd half we kept a clean sheet and scored 3 goals...and I get a SIX!! I admit I was a bit shaky at the start, but I settled down and played alright, and the team got the 4:0 result.

Re: Ratings...again!!

Only thing I would say Saig is that Andy made quite a difference when he came on on Saturday. He scored one, set up Latham's and should have won us a penalty...I would actually argue for giving him an 8 perhaps.

In your case, think you only played 15 mins and by your own admission, only touched the ball once or twice. This isn't to say you played badly, but didn't have chance to really contribute. 6 seems to be the default, so would sound fair. Morda was a very different game where it was comfortable throughout, but if you scored then I would say you probably deserved a 7.

Re: Ratings...again!!

I don't know what's wrong with you lot, at least you got rated, the chance would be a fine thing.

(Unfortunately there isn't an angry face).

Re: Ratings...again!!

Going back to the previous issue with ratings. they dont decide who starts the following week. they are just a bit of fun.
unless anyone feels or takes them differently?

ive come on as a sub the past three games and i dont think ive done that bad, but everyones just gotta wait for their chance and then take it, so there no need for bitterness

Just to say that the two previous Gibbo postings are Steve, not Mark.

I (Mark) agree and disagree with you all

Re: Ratings...again!!

I think the reaction to the ratings is the best bit about them...I don't take them too personnally either, but if I can use them for motivation then that's gotta be a good thing!!

Getting a 6 will make me more determined to do better next game (...don't take that as an excuse to give me low scores in future Phil!!)
