Mississippi River Water Levels
I have been asked about the impact the high water levels will have on the race. The course itself saw fairly moderate about of rainfall the past two weeks. The trails, forests, and swamps are in great shape. The Mississippi River is at flood stage in the pool where the course is but it is receding slowly. The high water will actually have a positive impact on the race and the racers attitudes! I kayaked it last night for four hours on the course and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. |
