remember me?
Hey guys. Remember that tall scrawny kid you all trained with a long time ago? David Sowash ring a bell? jr black belt, big ears, it'll come to you. anyways, i know i havent been around in awhile but im still training! when i moved to cleveland i stumbled on a school in lakewood and im now ranked in taekwondo. i got my orange belt in two months(third kyu rank)and i test for light blue this month. keep the boos to a minimum about the taekwondo, these arent the people we whooped in tournaments, and the emphasis on kicks fits my long legs. anyways i was doing some research on my old school and found this site. i plan on hanging around and im on the mailing list now, so ill be talking to you all soon i hope. keep training and testing hard! |

Hey Dave- I would never boo you for studying TKD! I might sneak up behind, beat you over the head with a bokken, and drag you back to my itty-bitty startup dojo over here in the heights... but I'd never boo, you  Congratulations on finding a style that you enjoy and that suits you! |

hey ya, but the problem with tae kwon do, is that they look at martial arts as a sport, not a discipline. just remember that it's about growing as a person and competing with yourself, not just about beating external opponents but internal ones as well. best wishes in your training and life |

I know you. Sat across from you at lunch everyday Senior year until I got "expelled"/transferred to the alternative school. Yeah, as long as these aren't the same Tae Kwon Do guys that are all about tournaments, then you're looking into some mean fighting methods. I personally have respect for the concepts of that art. Feet from afar, hands close in... its a universal concept, I'd say. So hopefully I'll see you at a tournament and we can do some tall crazy guy Tae Kwon Do versus the crazy crazy guy Kung Fu! |

I remember you David, the question is, do you remember me? Name is Nathan Smetzer, was training with Rita and Katie, and Tyler and Kason between 2000 and 2004.
