For months I have been trying to connect with genealogists in West Virginia to investigate a McCoy relative (three generations back) and no one responds to me. Are there any midwestern or Minnesota genealogists who have experience working in the Viginia or West Virginia states who can help me? The guy I'm looking for lived pre-Civil War. I've investigated Ancestry.com already, too.
