thanks for taking the time to read my post.
my fathers aunt recently told us of a family tragedy. her mothers sister, elin (stockhaus) schaffer (born in sweden 1891) was killed by her husband (we think his name was george) who then killed himself. my father seems to remember them living in one of the northern counties. the couple had a son named arnie (arnold?) based on something our aunt said, dad thinks this occurred in the 1930's. i have scoured through minnesota death index and census as well as newspapers to verify this story and learn more about the circumstances. so far, nothing. i would appreciate any suggestions, tips, advice you may have.
