Wed. Nite Racing Returns!!!
That's right, next Wed. (not tomorrow) but next Wed. is the return of the Shake A Leg Wed. Nite Race Series. A huge success last year, we are getting started early this year due to the change in daylight savings. Racing starts at 6:30, so be there by quarter of 6 or so. Windsurfing and sailboats, so bring whatever you want...even kites if you don't mind getting your ass whupped. For those who would like to sail in a sailboat, but don't have one, just show up and SAL will put you into a boat, which is a lot of fun. Awesome dinner on the SAL Veranda afterwards overlooking Biscayne Bay--you cannot beat it. Free parking too and it is a good place for spectators. Windy again for this coming Wed....every Wed. we have wind for this thing--crazy. Be there at 5:45 to give yourself time to rig and sail out...first races at 6;30 sharp. Boards, boats, kites, dinghies, and Hobie ADventure Islands too. If it is powered by the wind, it is good to go. I think an Americas Cup boat is showing up this week.... |
