I'm sorry no one replied to you Kevin! Funnily enough, our leaflets about the MPH series came in on Saturday. Turriff is on the 14 May, Sunday. The distances are as normal, except the cycle is 20k, whichever race you do!
The run is around the Den in Turriff, so is relatively flat other than the start. There is a quick dash from the pool to transition (for your bike) as the pool is about 200 metres from the sports centre where the bikes are racked.
Either leave your clothes/trainers etc outside the pool, or take old footwear of some kind to shove on.
The cycle is an experience! Straight up at the start, and keep going up for 3/4 miles (I can't remember how far). Then some very fast down, odd sharp corner, up a bit again, then down to the finish. The cyclists like it. Try to spin your legs out a bit on the run in, or the start of the run is murder! Please speak to any of the Three Peaks gang you see (look for our numbers on the entry lists). I'm the little fat one with the green bike, black helmet.
If you don't have said entry form, call Elaine or Fiona on 01467 628283 and they'll send you a form. You have until Thursday 11th May to enter.
Good luck. Turriff was my first summer tri, I really enjoyed it. The views from the top of the bike ride are tremendous - if you can see for the sweat dripping in your eyes.
See you there!
