Hotel Babylon (again)
Hi All, I have asked before but I don't think anyone had the answer. Just trying again. Hotel babylon as begun tonight at 9pm but on BBC HD which unless you are subscribed to you cannot watch it. Does anyone know when it will viewable on a general channel ie: non subscription. Only asking cos Alan will be in 2 episodes. Thanks Helen x |

Hi Heleen, Thats a good idea. I had already been on the BBC website where there was nothing. I sent the BBC a message but it does say they get so many that not everyone is guaranteed a reply.  So we shall see. Watch this space.  Helen |

Hi All, OK I have received a reply from the BBC, so thought I would share. I asked when a viewable to all version of Hotel Babylon would be on. I understand you would like to know when the drama series will return to analogue TV. A third series will air this year. However at present we have no exact dates. It is important to note that our future schedules are only confirmed up to seven days in advance, which means it is not possible to give details for programmes beyond this period. I've found several posts on the BBC America Discussion Boards about the new series of HB: "Season 3 is complete and will begin during BBC1's Christmas/New Year schedule according to the BBC Press Office web site. Most likely it will start in the first week of January as it's unusual to start a new series over Christmas. Like the first 2 seasons there are just 8 episodes.So it may appear on BBCA at some point next year (2008)." "A third season is in the pipeline but is not expected on UK screens until early 2008.'Hotel Babylon' is unlikely to be canceled since it consistently wins its slot on BBC 1. BBCA have simply aired all of the available episodes. Season 1 was first shown in 2006 and season 2 was shown from 15 Feb. to 12 April 2007. The series is normally filmed in the middle of one year and transmitted at the start of the next." "The first season was shown in January 2006, the second one in February 2007 so it will be probably March 2008." Still inconclusive I know, but still, it can't be long till it's shown :-) |
