Re: Alan Davies's QI bio
Hi Heleen,
Thanks for showing us this.
It is very interesting to see that the contestants are shown the questions 1 hr before the show but Alan is the only contestant who chooses not to.
I think his off the cuff humour would be dampened by any prior knowledge, so he should carry on doing that I think.
Also to see that at first it wasn't Stephen Fry, my God what a different show it would have been and even Alan is brill I wonder would it have had the same popularity and longevity?
Thanks again
Helen

Re: Re: Alan Davies's QI bio
Oh, yes, Helen, I agree about Stephen being a perfect foil for Alan. They both have wisdom but it comes from different places, and I think they both respect each others' perspective.
I greatly admire Michael Palin but I think he'd not be the best match for Alan, in that format. Entertainment-wise, if you get my drift.
Stephen and Alan make a great comedy team on QI, if you will, and just like any good marriage, you may have different viewpoints, but if you're heading in the same direction, it tends to work out---at least in the short run. And that short run might be very nice.
Divorced after a short run, but still good mates with the ex,
