Is Jack a labrador?

Hi All,

Well I've just finished listening to the last episode of 'About a Dog'. I enjoyed the series very much!

Just had a quick question. Did anyone else pick up on the last episode that Jack may be a labrador.

In my head he was very fluffy, dulux type dog, byt his greed for food does fit with being a labrador.

Any opinions?

Re: Is Jack a labrador?

Isn't he a Jack Russel? should be obvious... (although a Spaniel would suit Mr. Davies quite well)

Re: Is Jack a labrador?

I wonder if Alan could enlighten us. Even if it isn't in the script. He must have imagined himself as this dog to get into the role??

Re: Re: Is Jack a labrador?

I always visualized Jack as a Jack Russell, because he's so strong-minded and opinionated!

Labs are real sweeties, and while Jack has his loves, he's a bit too sure that he will eventually get his way. I think Labs would rather go with the flow.

Since Alan is certainly capable of getting into a cat's head, I was not surprised he could play a doggie. However, what an interestingly mind-bending exercise. I bet the rehearsals were fun.

I was veering more towards the Afghan hound, but no, I agree with all the Jack Russell folk out there!I've got a lab and a jack russell, and I don't think my lab could really be bothered to get involved with half the stuff that Jjack got involved with.

Re: Is Jack a labrador?

Hi All,

Thanks for your opinions. The only reason I asked was in the last episode, Jack's gran said to Jack's Mum that someone else had a labrador TOO.

That's where my thought that it was a labrador came from.

Re: Is Jack a labrador?

well that sounds fairly conclusive then. Pretty important we know though....who knows, it could be the million dollar question on "who wants to be a millionaire" one day......the very day that I'm someones phone -a -friend!!
