QI Tickets
Hi Everyone, I have been lucky enough to get two etickets for the recording of QI on Friday 1st June from applausestore.com  However,unfortunately I am unable to go now as my son (who wants to be an actor) has asked to do some filming out on location at Chessington and I will not be able to get him home and make the recording in time.  He is only 12 so I cannot take him with me!! I know that NickieB you would like to go. I would like to offer my tickets to any fans of Alan.  It will have to be the first come first serve I'm afraid, so NickieB if you want them you need to e-mail me quickly. My e-mail address is abentley@smguk.co.uk if you mark the e-mail Alan Davies QI I will know that it is from a fan. Once the tickets have gone, I will post another message on the forum. Cheers Alison

I am not taking you up on your offer, but rather asking exactly how one does get tickets. I plan to visit the UK next year and would love to see a taping. So, my questions are: 1) how long do the tapings occur (from what month to what month)? 2) how far ahead to they offer the tickets to each taping? 3) where do the tapings take place?; and, 4) from whom do you buy the tickets? Of course, this is assuming there will be any tapings next year. :-) Thanks for any info you can give! s |

Hi Suzy, The recordings take place usually between May and June. They are recorded at the London Studios, near Waterloo Train Station in London. I was lucky enough to get the tickets free from applausestore.com You can go and have a look at the website yourself. They usually put the dates of the shows around two to three weeks before the recordings take place. The tickets are sent out at random and it is still on a first come first serve basis. The recordings usually last between 90 and 120 minutes, depending on how well the recording goes. the doors usually open around 6.45pm and the latest I have left before is 10.15pm. Hi, Alison: I am finally getting around to thanking you for the info there. It gives me things to consider on planning my trip. I'm lucky, I can just pick up and go (depending on finances only) whenever I want so it might be a real thing, if QI tapes next year. However, I do like to visit in October, when the weather is colder (I rarely get cold weather here) so, there it is. Decisions, decisions! Thanks again. s |
