Message:   I mounted to the outside of the rail. it doesn't interfere with the garment bag. Bag fits pretty tight, but the mount works great keeping the pump somewhat protected, out of the way yet accessible. I might recommend that before you mount the pump, that you get the bag installed first so that you can see where the pump actually sets in relationship to outside edges of the bag where it wraps around the rail and snaps.
